The head of social media marketing will:
Led and managed a team of Social Media Creators to build and develop a NEW style/approach to Lastminute’s social content that is not your normal corporate brand approach.
Creatively bring to life Lastminute’s social media strategy that sets us apart on newsfeeds, stories, for your pages and more.
Create a weekly end-to-end content production machine: your concepts and concepts from other team members. Video is key.
Work with the Brand Team to develop monthly creatively chaotic ideas for key projects.
Be an influence, coach and support to the wider social and brand teams, developing their knowledge and skills.
Keep your finger on the pulse of the latest social media trends, and know your memes, trending video content formats and tools needed to make creative effective.
Publish and distribute content across channels when required.
Put the consumer at the heart of any response using data and storytelling
Brings true leadership in social (owned, earned and managed) media – is visionary about what’s next for brands across channels and platforms.
be data savvy – Can review several data points to share the right data adding to the strategy & results. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing initiatives and provide actionable insights to enhance campaign performance.
Manage and develop influencer strategy and relationships.
Who you are:
Solid experience in leading and growing social media marketing and influencer management, regardless of the industry.
Proven mid-weight designer/motion human, comfortable with video editing tools, whatever your chosen tools. We know the obvious ones, BUT even Cap Cut creators are making insane content – a portfolio/ examples of your work will be required.
Experience managing a team of creatives and building end-to-end production process
Experience producing video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok & YouTube Shorts
An understanding of video content, social media formats and hooks, captions and how the edit drives reach and engagement.
Proven ability to distil complex challenges into simple, clear, and compelling strategies.
Strong proficiency in planning and measuring effectiveness across social media
Excellent leadership skills, with the confidence to respectfully challenge and guide teams in the right strategic direction.
Data-driven mindset with a deep understanding of social media platforms, PR, and influencer channels.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive insights and optimise campaign performance.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop team members, ensuring clarity in roles and fostering a high-performance culture.
